Weiteres Highlight in Sachen Frühstückskultur ist das Pannikin Café in Encinitas / Leucadia. Unser Ziel jeden Tag an neuer Stelle ein anderes Frühstück auszuprobieren wurde durch das Pannikin glatt torpediert – weil einfach zu lecker! Kurzer Auszug aus deren Selbstbeschreibung:

“Welcome to the Pannikin. We have been in the business of serving the community with all its coffee and tea needs since 1968. Our family owned and operated business roasts coffee daily to bring you the freshest selection of single origin coffees and proprietary blends from around the globe. Our tea list is notable and you will not be disappointed in the wide range offered here. Built in 1888 the Pannikin is located in this historic Santa Fe Railroad Station.”

Über selbstgemahlenen Kaffee und Tee hinaus wird ein äußerst schmackhaftes Frühstück in Form Sandwichs, Bagels, Müsli, Rührei undsoweiterundsofort serviert! Am Wochenende reicht die Schlange am Bestelltresen schonmal gerne bis auf die Strasse – also schön früh eintreffen! Sitzplätze sind drinnen wie draußen viele vorhanden. Guten Appetit!
